Q: How many students attend the camp?
A: Each year is different. Anywhere from 10-17.
Q: Is there a limit to the number of students?
A: No limit, however we do prefer no more than 15 in order to give adequate private instruction throughout the program.
Q: What is the ratio of students to instructors?
A: We have 4 professional instructors and 2 or 3 university aged assistants for the whole program. Each professional handles the group as a whole or individually at different times within their expertise: acting, voice, dance.
Q: How much of the day is spent in a large group vs. small groups?
A: The day begins in large groups for dance instruction then varies throughout the day and week from private to small, to large group again.
Q: For the showcase at the end of the program, are there auditions for parts/songs during the program, or is everyone assigned parts/songs?
A: All are assigned a solo via the program audition, of which they then perform on the final program as part of a dialogue scene. We also include a few duets and all performers in full group numbers. Full group numbers have many solo lines of which are auditioned during the first week of the program.
Q: How much time is spent on improv activities?
A: Improv activities are generally during free time of which our trained assistants guide.
Q: What is the ratio of time spent on vocal activities vs. acting?
A: With instruction in both private and groups sessions for both voice and acting, the ratio is close to 50/50.
Q: Do you have recommendations or reviews about your program from past students and/or parents.
A: Please see our Student Responses page for comments about our program
